Registration for Summer Camp is now open and space will fill up quickly. Summer Camp will be held June 17 - August 16, 2019 and will be available for all children 18 months - 6 years old. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to register as soon as possible to secure your spot in what's sure to be another summer of fun at La Prima Casa Montessori!

This year, we will have nine (9) one-week Summer Camp sessions. Summer Camp will begins on June 17th. The daily schedule will mirror a typical school day to help you with your busy schedules. Camp hours will be from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm for all full-day programs, 9:00 am until 12:00 pm for half-day session and aftercare will be offered until 6:00 pm

IMPORTANT NOTE: Summer camp will ONLY be held at the Roads Campus. The Brickell Campus will be closed for the summer.

Session 1: Jun 17 - Jun 21
LPC Laboratory: 
Explore the world of science at the LPC Laboratory! The children will perform fun projects that will expand their knowledge on electricity, density, chemical reactions, gravity and other fascinating scientific phenomenon.  A specialist in the field will be invited to guide the children, as they conduct their own experiments, investigating chemical reactions and gravity.

Session 2: Jun 24 - Jun 28
Lil Artists' Gallery: 
Bring out the creativity in your little one. During this camp session, the children will employ daily art mediums and techniques including painting, photography and pottery. By visiting a local museum or art gallery, our older children will have the opportunity to view professional art pieces on display. They will also learn about famous artists from all over the world.

Session 3: Jul 1 - Jul 5 (Please note we will be closed on Thursday, July 4th for Independence Day.
Blast to the Past: 
This week, our campers will travel to and from different places in time! During the course of the session, we will stop by Ancient Rome and Greece, visit Shakespeare and Michelangelo during the Renaissance, meet the Native Americans before the Age of Discovery and feel some flower power as we get excited about the Space Race in the 20th Century! We will be visited by a Master Puppeteer who will put on her puppet show: Coming to America.

Session 4: Jul 8 - Jul 12
When I Grow Up: 
High ho, high ho - it's off to work we go! Join us for a fun-filled week where we will experience what different careers are like. We will get to feel what it's like to be a beekeeper, and take care of the most important animal in the world. We will be doctors and fire fighters, saving lives. We will entertain others, making them laugh, as actors; feed the world as farmers. When we visit the Miami Children's Museum, we will have the opportunity to explore what else we can be when we grow up!

Session 5: Jul 15 - Jul 19
Wonders of Nature: 
In our Living Classrooms, we are going to experience the wonders of nature! We will do a lot of gardening and learn how plants grow and why it's cool to have our own vegetable garden. We will discover the different species of animals in the world. We will go on nature scavenger hunts, make our own compost bins and get in touch with our hippy side and make our own tie dye t-shirts!

Session 6: Jul 22 - Jul 26
Adventureland: 
Einstein said "Imagination is more important than knowledge." Imagination is the door to endless possibilities. Our Adventureland week will nurture our campers' imagination, as they explore and push their own boundaries: expressing themselves, acting, reacting and interacting. We will walk planks as pirates, learn to lasso as cowboys/girls. We will be royalty AND goblins and wrap up the week by watching a performance of Puss in Boots at the Actor's Playhouse.

Session 7: Jul 29 - Aug 2
Around the World: 
From Asia to South America, the children will put on their National Geographic Explorer caps and study some of the most interesting cultures that exist in the world today. They will travel around the world in 5 days to learn about different cities, foods, ecosystems, and traditional costumes. They will also go on a local field trip to explore the melting pot that surrounds them right here in Miami!

Session 8: Aug 5 - Aug 9
