We use an array of natural materials and fabrics that help children learn through touch, smells and other senses, a hallmark of the Montessori method.

Multi-Age Classrooms

Once the child enters the Primary and Elementary school programs, they will have the opportunity to experience one of the most unique aspects of Montessori schooling: multi-age classrooms. This is something they are certainly not likely to experience at a traditional school.

In our multi-age classrooms, teachers don’t lecture students. Instead, in a Montessori classroom, students work independently, with the instructors serving as guides to make sure they are learning.

Multi-age classrooms also provide an opportunity for students to help other students, giving some students their first experience with leadership and collaboration.

Instructor-Student Relationships

Another benefit of the Montessori method and its multi-age classrooms is that our teachers stay with a classroom, and its students, for more than one year.

Dr. Montessori famously described the instructors in her classroom as “scientists,” who study their students in an effort to get the best result for their educational curriculum. Montessori instructors can remain with a student for as many as three years, creating a long period where the teacher can learn about the student, thus giving them extended insight on how to best move the student towards their educational goals.
